Hurst

Hurst electric motors

Hurst developed a large range of electric motortypes. Hurst is a division of Emerson Motor Technologies since 1984.

Brushless motors

Brushless motors are in the range upto 0.35 Nm (50 oz-in) and available from 12 upto 48 V (supply DC). They can be fitted with a spur (transmission ratio upto 1/600) or planetery gear.

Stepper motors

The stepper motors have a can-stack construction and have permanent magnets. Step angles rangle from 7.5 to 18 degrees for the permanent magnet steppers, and a step angle of 1.8 degree for the hybrid steppers. Hurst manufactures its own gear boxes for their PM stepper motors. The hybrid models are available in NEMA standard frame sizes of 17 and 23, with a holding torque ranging up to 1.3 Nm (187 oz-in). Standard windings are 4 phase, unipolar. All models offer class B insulation.

Hurst range of synchronous motors

One phase synchronous motors

Hurst's magnet synchronous motors are reversible permanent-split capacitor motors (one phase synchronous motor) identical in construction to the stepping motors. The 60 Hz can-stack motors operate at synchronous speeds of 300 and 600 RPM.

The following electric motor types are sold by Hurst
