Explanation Calculation Results

Hereunder a table is shown with typical results that can be expected as a result of a search query. Thereunder the different features are explained. The results can be sorted on different features.

Descr. Ranking Efficiency [%] Acceleration [rad/s2] Rel. motorload [%] Pmax [W] Quality Index
  1 45% 64948 73% 299 B
Brand:           Danaher

REDUCTION
Brand:           Baldor
Typenumber: MRP050 - ratio 1/5 (reduction=0.2)

The next features are shown in the results table:

  1. Description
  2. Ranking
  3. Efficiency
  4. Acceleration
  5. Relative Motorload
  6. Pmax Maximum outputpower
  7. Quality Index
Explanation:
  1. Description

The result can exist of a motor or a motor plus a reduction mounted on it. For the motor the brand, typenumber and the construction is shown. If a reduction is used its brand, typenumber and reduction ratio is shown.

  2. Ranking

The ranking determines the suitability of the motor configuration for the given search criteria. The motor configuration with ranking 1 is the best. Here is shown how the ranking is determined.

  3. Efficiency

This is the energetic efficiency of motor plus, if present, the reduction. The efficiency of an amplifier is not included.

  4. Acceleration

The maximum acceleration of the load from standstill is given. If a reduction is present than the acceleration is given on the output of the reduction (so on loadside, and not motorside).

  5. Relative Motorload

This is the power that is asked (by the workpoint you provided) as a percentage of the maximum output power Pmax.

  6. Pmax Maximum Output Power

This is the maximum power Pmax that the motor is capable of giving at nominal voltage. This power is equal to 1/4Tstallω0.

  7. Quality Index

The quality index is an indicator for the quality of the provided motor information by the manufacturer. Here is shown what the quality index is, and here the procedure to determine the quality index is shown.
