Construction AC PM synchronous motor

The AC PM synchronous motor is the same as a brushedless permanent magnet (PM) motor with a stator constructed with iron teeth, with the exception that the motors are wound differently. The AC synchronous motor has a sinusoidale winding, and the brushless motor a trapezium winding. The names of the windings indicate the shape of the voltage that is necessary to create a constant torque for that motor. The motor is driven by a 3-phase voltage.
